Hey there! I’m Shae-lyn, the owner of SMMA and a bridal hair and makeup artist with a passion for creating timeless, natural looks for destination brides.

Born and raised in Belgium, I moved to the U.S. at age 10 and grew up in Hawaii and South Carolina. At 25, I returned to Europe, settling in Paris to be closer to family, expand my business and travel more. Today, I’m fortunate to split my time between Europe and the U.S., traveling for destination weddings in stunning locations like Lake Como, Seville, and Charleston.

When I’m not working with brides, you’ll find me exploring new cultures, trying out all the new food spots, and spending time with my fur babies!

A little about me

I've always had a passion for beauty but it really started as a young teenager when I struggled with acne. I would spend countless hours watching makeup tutorials (back in the prime years of Youtube) learning the latest makeup techniques to cover my breakouts. This grew into a love for makeup and what it could do to make me feel more confident. I continued makeup but didn't consider making a career out of it until doing a friends makeup became a fully booked calendar. That's when I decided to attend cosmetology school in 2018 and was able to officially start my business in 2019. I've since then expanded my skills to other continents and shared the confidence makeup can give with others.
